Thesis title: The Air and the Body in Late Medieval English Medicine, 1300 to 1600

Research interests

History of science and medicine before 1800, in particular Scholastic medicine, histories of pharmacy and surgery, medicine in the early modern Atlantic; medieval studies; atmospheric humanities; history of meteorology.

From 2023 to 2024, I was convener of the Cabinet of Natural History

With Dr Fiona Amery, I co-founded and co-convene the Cambridge Atmospheric Humanities Reading Group
