The Department has a collection of audio recording equipment and accessories for use by students who are making oral histories and conducting interviews as part of their HPS work. The recording equipment can be borrowed for up to eight consecutive weeks at a time, though you may be able to borrow it for longer under special circumstances.
The following equipment is available:
- 2× Zoom H1 audio recorders
- 2× Zoom H5 audio recorders, for archival-quality recordings
- 1× PodTrak P4 mixer, for recording Zoom calls or groups
- 1× professional quality lavalier microphone
- Accessories including rechargeable batteries and SD cards

Terms and conditions for borrowing the equipment are on the form. The form also allows you to suggest other equipment that the Department should purchase to add to the library.
