HPS held its first ever International Women's Day lecture on 9 March 2026, organised by our DA Francesca Anthony.
Clare Mulley joined us to give a public lecture about her book The Women Who Flew For Hitler, a historical account of two women who were test pilots for Nazi Germany in World War II; one fully committed to the Nazi cause, the other who became involved in the failed 1944 plot to kill Hitler.
The lecture was followed by a reception in the Whipple Museum. The lecture was greatly enjoyed by the attendees, and a great start to a new departmental tradition.
