french.jpgWe regret to announce that Roger Kenneth French, University Lecturer in History of Medicine, 1975–2002, died on Tuesday 14 May 2002, aged 64 years.

After completing a BA in Zoology and DPhil in History of Medicine at St Catherine's College, Oxford, he went on to lecture at the University of Leicester and University of Aberdeen. In 1975 he became the Director of the Wellcome Unit for the History of Medicine at the University of Cambridge.

His many publications include:
