Studying

The Department provides training in history of medicine at every level.

The Part II (third-year), Part III (fourth-year) and MPhil courses allow students to specialise largely in history of medicine or learn a little medical history to complement other interests in history, philosophy and sociology of science and technology. We offer PhD supervision in a very wide range of fields.

For more information on courses, see undergraduate study and graduate study.

For information on funding, including Wellcome master's awards and doctoral studentships, see funding for graduate students.

Cambridge historians of medicine and biology are using a Wellcome strategic award to take a concerted approach to the history of reproduction.
