LibrarySearch
Searches all Cambridge book collections as well as journal articles and electronic resources. Includes 'My Discoveries', a tool for storing, tagging and sharing references.
Janus
Provides access to catalogues of a growing proportion of the archives held throughout Cambridge. The work is in progress, with new catalogues being added regularly. Please note: Whipple Library archives have not yet been loaded onto Janus.
CrossSearch
Enables Google-style searching of over 300 key resources simultaneously, including Philosopher's Index, Web of Science, Science Direct, major ejournal providers Eighteenth Century Collections Online and Early English Books Online. In the advanced CrossSearch interface, multiple subject areas or specific resources can be searched at once. CrossSearch is available direct to current students and staff within the Cambridge domain. Off campus access available via Raven.
Dissertations
The Whipple Library holds some, though not all, PhD and MPhil dissertations completed by students attached to the Department, as well as a few MPhil essays and Part II essays and dissertations (the University Library has a copy of all HPS PhD dissertations). Recent MPhil disserations (post-1996) are archived by the Departmental Office. A list of titles held by the Library is kept behind the desk and can also be downloaded. Records for the PhD dissertations are also available on the online catalogue. The dissertations are located in the Librarian's Office and cannot be borrowed. Please ask at the desk if you wish to consult one.
